Never having heard of Electrolysis before, I was enlightened while studying the Endocrine system (Hormones) as a student nurse. I learned that Electrolysis was the only permanent treatment for excessive hair growth (Hirsutism), a condition that I personally struggled with, but never found a solution that didn’t make the problem worse. Excessive body hair on any person – male or female can result in physical, psychological, and social problems. After finding a professional, well-trained expert in Electrolysis who designed a treatment plan for me, I ultimately was left with skin that was smooth, undamaged and most of all hair-free!
Because of my personal experience and medical background, training to become a professional licensed Electrologist seemed to be my destiny. Now I can provide my clients with the same only-medically-approved treatment recognized as permanent by the FDA and AMA. Safe and effective for all hair and skin types, all genders – this treatment is provided in a private medically oriented environment. In New Jersey, electrologists are licensed under the NJ Board of Medical Examiners since electrolysis is a designated medical procedure under the American Medical Association guidelines. I stay up to date with advancements in medical information and permanent hair removal techniques through certified, professional continuing education and training in my field.
My in-depth knowledge of all skin types means I can offer patients personalized information and treatments, including microdermabrasion and high-quality skincare products that are tailored to the unique needs of their skin. My approach to hair removal and skincare helps ensure skin is the best it can be at any age.

My personal journey with pulsed light and laser hair removal did not yield permanent results. Frustrated and concerned I might never achieve my hair removal goals, I tried electrolysis.

Not worrying about unwanted hair growth and having better skin gave my self-esteem an enormous boost. As a result, I was eager to share my positive experience with other people who manage unwanted hair with impermanent techniques such as tweezing, threading, shaving, and waxing. Knowing all the drawbacks with those approaches, including ingrown hairs, blemishes, scars, and pitting, I could not wait to get started in my career as an electrologist!

In addition to earning my license and certification in electrology from the Electrology Institute of New England, I receive expert guidance from my experienced and highly professional mentor, Dorothy Moreno, BSN, RN, LE, CPE. As a result of my excellent education and training, I can deliver the highest standard of electrolysis care to each of my patients.

My experience as a veterinary technician for 12 years before joining Morristown Electrolysis has taught me the importance of empathy and compassion in everything I do. As a result, I approach each of my clients with the utmost kindness and respect.
